Featuring Miss Washington Pre-Teen!

The day I was crowned was the happiest day of my life. Who would ever have imagined that I could win my first pageant. Since being crowned my life took me on an incredible journey where I have done many unimaginable things and made friends that I know I will carry with me for the rest of my life. After being crowned I knew I wanted to accomplish big things and give back to my community. The first thing I did was work with the National Charity League at the annual Camp to Belong reuniting foster kids with their birth siblings for a single week over the summer. One of the things I did is help set up stores at the camp so that the kids could pick out and try on whatever formal outfit they wanted to wear for the final night of camp. It made me so happy to see the smiling looks on the kids faces when they put on their first ever fancy outfit. Another thing that I did to give back to my community is I used the prize money I won to buy 20 pillows, 40 pillowcases, and 50 emergency blankets …

Featuring Miss New Jersey Pre-Teen Cover Girl!

I can’t believe how quickly a year goes by!On August 14, 2016 I was crowned National American Miss New Jersey Pre-Teen Cover Girl.I was so excited to bond with my sister queen National American Miss New Jersey Pre-Teen, Nyla. We exchanged numbers with each other and our other sister queens and the rest was history. My year started with a photo shoot starring the NAM New Jersey Royalty at the beach. Most of us went to lunch afterwards with our families so we could bond some more. I joined the NAM New Jersey Princess and Jr. Pre-Teen to raise money for charity by holding an Alex’s Lemonade Stand. We had so much fun! Some of the older girls got together to make some meals at the Ronald McDonald House in Long Branch, NJ.It was a lot of fun sharing the kitchen and working together. I volunteered with my sister Pre-Teen Queen Nyla at a homeless shelter spreading good cheer and fun to some young children.Next on my journey was a send off party for Nationals! We all got together to discuss Nation…

Featuring Miss Washington Jr. Teen!

From the time I've been competing in NAM and throughout my reign as the 2016 Miss Washington Jr. Teen, I've learned so many valuable life lessons that I will always remember. I gained confidence and skills that strengthened my character. NAM has taught me the importance of grit, living with purpose, and most importantly, how to embrace failure courageously. I have competed many times for the crown and persevered. Though it was challenging, I am thankful for not giving up, because taking risks and having the will to aspire my dream polished me into the person I am today. Holding the title of Miss Washington Jr. Teen allowed me to focus on the platform that is of the greatest importance to me: education and youth leadership. With the crown, I was able to represent NAM in the classrooms of a variety of schools, from kids who lived in impoverished places where they lack resources, to those in advanced learning environments who are gifted with opportunities. Regardless, I experi…

Featuring Miss Washington Jr. Pre-Teen!

Walt Disney once said, "All your dreams can come true if you have the courage to purse them."  It was my courage that lead me back to the NAM stage last year.  I had competed for the title of National American Miss Jr Pre-Teen for the two years before.  I was not going to compete last year and 1 month before pageant weekend, my courage took me to my Mom and insisted that I try one more time.  It was my courage and determination that allowed me to be crowned your 2016 National American Miss Jr Pre-Teen.

What I was most excited for was the trip to Disneyland to compete for the national title.  I got to travel to the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Rodeo Drive and see the Hollywood sign in person!  Of course going to Disney is every girls dream.  I loved the rides, characters and food.  However, my FAVORITE moment was meeting Chewbacca!  He wrapped me in his arms in a giant hug and we had the best conversation, because of course I speak wookie.  While all the trips we took were amazin…
