NAM: What activities are you
involved in? Tennis team, FBLA, Student
Council, Speech Team, HOSA, volunteering with special needs organizations such
as the Miss Amazing pageant for which I am on the state board and a national
ambassador, Munroe-Meyer ( a day camp/ recreational therapy program), HETRA ( a
horse therapy program), Special Olympics swim team and Ollie Webb ( mentoring a
special needs teenager). I also speak for a organization named Smart Girl Style
about being responsible on social media. I recently got into an event planning
program at the University of Omaha, Nebraska. I am also a high school sales rep
for Four Sisters Boutique. NAM: What are your plans for the
future? To go to college and get a degree
in either special education or communications/ marketing/ event planning. I
also plan to continue to volunteer for special needs groups. I one day hope to
travel to Africa with a group that helps spread special needs awareness. I also

NAM: Tell us about yourself:
MaKenzie: Hi! I’m MaKenzie Ward, National American Miss Jr. Teen. I
am a 14 year old freshman at Hewitt Trussville High School in
Trussville, Alabama. I love to sing, dance, shop, and cook! I have a
family of four: my mom, dad, and older sister, Madison. We have two
small dogs named Tucker and Trudy.
NAM: What activities are you involved in?
MaKenzie: I am very involved in school and church activities. I am on
my school danceline, the Hewitt Trussville Highsteppers. We dance at
football games and we also compete. My parents and sister are a part
of the worship team at my church and I am following in their footsteps.
I am in Spark Ministry training where I am training to be a worship
NAM: What are your plans for the future?
MaKenzie: I am undecided on my career path right now, but I am
leaning toward becoming an orthodontist. I’ve always been fascinated
by braces and the transformation they make. One thing I know for sure

NAM: Tell us about yourself: Hello! My name is Sydney Rowland, your 2016-2017 National All-American Miss Jr. Teen! I am 16 years old and I am from the beautiful steel city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
NAM: What activities are you involved in? Some activities I'm involved in at school are the German Club, Interact Club,Key Club, and Mini Thon committee. I also enjoy golfing, yoga, and being with my friends.
NAM: What are your plans for the future? A really big goal of mine is to be a broadcast journalist. I have dreamed of being on Good Morning America, or even the Today show!
NAM: How would your friends describe you? I would think they would say that I am a good friend who if funny, smart, caring about others.
