Featuring Miss New York Jr. Pre-Teen!

A year ago I was crowned and since then I’ve been using my crown as a microphone to promote my platform Readers Rock! And to serve my community by volunteering at several different organizations. I was beyond proud to represent New York State at the National Pageant in Anaheim California. I even won the National Alumni essay titled “My NAM Story”, that made me truly happy. Special thank you to my brother for being the best escort. To my mom, you’re my forever queen. Thank you for always supporting my dreams. To my extended family, thank you for always being there. To Miss Krissan, Miss Amanda, Miss Angelique and my PEDA family, to Miss Carmen and my OLG family and to my church family thank you for your encouraging words and for helping me become the best version of me. To my dear friend Kasey thank you for making Nationals a memorable one. To my pageant bestie Briyah, thank you for all the fun and laughter at Nationals. Thank you Allison for always cheering me on. To Mr and Mrs Mayes, thank you for creating such a positive pageant system for girls like me. National American Miss has given me the opportunity to grow within myself and I’m happy to be a part of the Namily. To my sister queens, I enjoyed getting to know you’ll better through out the year. To the contestants, be your own kind of beautiful and remember dreams do come true. To my successor, what you get by achieving your goals is nothing compared to who you become! Enjoy your reign and capture every moment. I am Kayla Grant! Forever your 2017 Miss New York Jr-Preteen.
