Miss America 2013

This weekend was the annual Miss America pageant! The event was held in Las Vegas and aired LIVE on ABC! Girls from all across the nation came to see who would walk away with this prestigious title. We all know that Miss New York, Mallory Hogan is Now Miss America! National American Miss titleholders gathered for fun, memories and traditions as they had the opportunity to bond with each other.

One of the exciting events, was the opportunity to meet pageant industry experts. From the Miss America Trade Show to fabulous dinners, the weekend brought together top notch experts from all over the country. The true meaning of pageantry was in the air.  You see pageants are not only about the lights and glamour; the heart of pageantry actually is serving. I heard it best from a former Miss America director, she put it this way...

"The time to be happy is now, the place to be happy is here, and the way to be happy is to serve and to be thankful"
