It's Been a Fantastic Year for The 2011 National American Miss South Texas Princess!

Howdy y’all,
Time really goes so fast!. It was such an honor to be crowned the state princess. I was shocked and frozen when I heard my name called as Miss Texas Princess and I enjoyed watching all the bubbles around me. One of my dreams came true at that very moment.
The chance to bring smiles to so many faces is such a blessing to me. I learned the value of giving back to my community through helping out the elderly, riding in the Alief International parade, meeting SWAT police officers, donating books to Children hospital, making appearances in special events, being part of live telecast interviews and newspapers. I signed so many autographs and my jaw still hurts from all the pictures I have taken this year. OMG I even got to walk in a parade next to Mayor Annise D Parker and the Harris County Texas Judge Ed Emmett. A Princess’s life is so exhausting and fun at the same time!
Nationals was a blast! I enjoyed meeting new friends from different states and my trip to Disneyland and Hollywood was amazing. Guess what? Spiderman even hung me upside down and I was so scared. I won 1st Runner up at Spokesmodel, 2nd Runner up in Top Model and Best Resume.
For this great year, thank you God for blessing me and my mom for treating me as a princess every day. To my aunt, uncle and cousin Spoorthi...thank you for spending countless hours of time and making sure I had the “bling-bling” all year. To my cousin Bhargav, you are the best escort a girl could ask for. To all my family and friends...you are all my biggest fans because you never miss a beat or a picture. I wouldn’t have made it this far without each and every one of you. I love you all so much.
A huge thank you to National American Miss for making my dreams comes true.
To my sister queens you all are fantabulous.
Special thanks to Landan Rivers and Megan Viola-Vu for all your help. I had such a fun
year with you all.

Love Always,

2011 National American Miss Texas Princess,
Surabhi Subash,
a girl with big dreams.
