Get to know The 2015-2016 National All-American Miss Jr. Pre-Teen Hayleigh Ranf!


NAM: Tell us about yourself: 
Hayleigh: am straight “A” 4th grader who loves to dance.  I spend 20+ hours a week at the dance studio and the stage is my 2nd home.  When I am not at school or dance you can find me at the sand dunes with my family.

NAM: What activities are you involved in?  
Hayleigh:I am involved in many activities such as dance, volunteering, riding my quad at the sand dunes and pretty much any craft project.

NAM: What are your plans for the future?  
Hayleigh:When I graduate high school I plan to go to college in California.  While getting my degree in marine biology I also plan to work at Disneyland.  My dream is to be a Disney Princess.

NAM: How would your friends describe you?  
Hayleigh:My friends would describe me as silly, small in size but with a big heart.

NAM: What motto or quote best describes you?  
Hayleigh:“Dance like no one is watching”



NAM: What is the best advice you have ever received?  
Hayleigh:The best advice I have ever received is to always be myself.

NAM: How did you prepare for the NAM National pageant?  
Hayleigh:I prepared by practicing everyday with my mom.  She would ask me tons of interview questions, make me walk around my hula hoop in my pageant shoes and practice my introduction with a fake microphone in front of my stuffed animals.

NAM: Where is your favorite place to shop?  
Hayleigh:I love to shop at Bath and Body Works.  I like to collect all the hand sanitizer flavors.

NAM: How have pageants shaped your life?  
Hayleigh:I would have to say that NAM has helped me build confidence and not be afraid to go out and make new friends.

NAM: What is your most prized possession?  
Hayleigh:My most prized possession would have to be my crown and banner.  It’s my everyday reminder that hard work pays off and dreams come true.



NAM: What is your favorite movie? 
Hayleigh:My favorite movie is Fast and Furious 7. 

NAM: What is your favorite TV show?  
Hayleigh: My absolute favorite TV show is Jessie on the Disney channel.

NAM: What is your book?  
Hayleigh:Reading is not my favorite subject but if I had to pick a favorite book it would be any Junie B. Jones books.

NAM: What advice do you have for future NAM girls?  
Hayleigh: I would tell future NAM girls to always be true to themselves, make friends any chance you can and never give up on your dreams.

NAM: If you could be famous for anything what would it be?  
Hayleigh: I would love to be famous for helping put a stop to animal cruelty.



NAM: What is your dream job?  
Hayleigh:I have 2 dream jobs.  One is to become a marine biologist and the other is to become a Disney Princess at Disneyland.  I would love to be Ariel.

NAM: How do you plan to use your title?  
Hayleigh:I will use my title by volunteering my time, helping encourage other young girls to be confident and being a positive role model to everyone I meet throughout my year. 

NAM: How do you volunteer in your community?  
Hayleigh:I have volunteered at the local bunny rescue and the Mobile Mini’s therapy horse ranch.   I will also be volunteering at Feed My Starving Children. 

NAM: What is your most embarrassing moment? 
Hayleigh:My most embarrassing moment is when I slipped on stage during the opening number at NAM Nationals. 

NAM: What is your favorite subject in school?  
Hayleigh:My favorite subject in school is math.  I am a part of the 30second club, which means I can do my 2’s through 9’s times tables in under 30seconds.



NAM:  If you had three wishes what would you wish for? 
Hayleigh: If I had 3 wishes I would wish for:

1.    That no one in the world would have to go to bed hungry or homeless.
2.    That no one would harm animals.
3.    That I had every single Shopkin toy made.

NAM: What is your biggest fear?  
Hayleigh: My biggest fear is forgetting a dance while I am on stage.

NAM: What is the biggest misconception about your generation?  
Hayleigh: The biggest misconception about my generation is that all we do is play video games. 

NAM: Who is your role model?  
Hayleigh:My role model is my mom.  Every day she works full time and then drives me to dance for 4hrs.  My dance studio is 1hr away from our house.  She gives up a lot just so I can do the things I like to do.  I hope to one day do the same for my kids.



NAM: If you could go back in time to any historical event what would it be?  
Hayleigh:If I could go back in time to visit any historical event I would go back to when the Dinosaurs were alive- only if I was able to be invisible so they wouldn’t eat me.

NAM: Who is to most influential person in the world? 
Hayleigh:I am only 9 so I would have to say that my mom and dad are the most influential people to me in the world.

NAM: If you could have dinner with anyone, who would it be? 
Hayleigh:If I could have dinner with anyone I would pick my state directors Breanne and Ryan.  They always make me laugh and I think it would be fun.

NAM: What is your favorite part about National American Miss? 
Hayleigh:My favorite part about NAM is meeting new friends.  Now that I am an All American Queen I love that I have sisters to spend time with.   I am an only child so it’s great to have a lot of sisters.

NAM: How did you get started with NAM? How long have you been involved? 
Hayleigh:I got started with NAM when I was 6years old and I received an open call letter in the mail.  I dragged my mom and dad to the open call and the rest is history.


NAM: What is your definition of a NAM girl? 
Hayleigh:My definition of a NAM girl is any girl who is not scared to be themselves and never gives up on their dreams.

NAM: What do you like to do for fun?   
Hayleigh:I love to go to the sand dunes with my family.  Riding my quad is so much fun.  I also like to hang out with my cousin.  She is my best friend.

NAM: What makes your state unique? 
Hayleigh:My state is unique because you can wear flip flops all year long.

NAM: What is your favorite food?  
Hayleigh: My favorite food is prime rib steak from Black Angus.

NAM: What makes you laugh? 
Hayleigh:Things that make me laugh are my friends and anytime I can laugh at myself for being silly.

NAM: What was your first thought you had when you captured your national title? Hayleigh:My first thought when I captured my title was I finally did it!!!!!! 

NAM: People would be surprised to know what about you?  
Hayleigh:People would be surprised to know that I ride a 250cc quad at the sand dunes.
